As we bid farewell to another eventful year, it's time to cozy up with a cup of your favourite beverage and join us for a candid recap of everything ‘OA’ with Joe, the founder and developer of OddAlerts. From major launches to the promise of exciting new features, Joe takes us on a journey through the year's highlights and what's on the horizon for the platform.
A Year of Growth and Innovation
OddAlerts has always been about bridging the gap between football and data, and this year was no exception. With a commitment to providing users with the tools they need to make informed decisions, OddAlerts introduced a plethora of features, including:
- Data Downloads Page: A heavily requested feature that lets users download six months' worth of data for the probability model, allowing for quick system creation, especially for Excel wizards.
- Value Betting: We added more outcomes to our probability model and thus more options for those using OddAlerts for value betting, not to mention the heaps of improvements to this area of the site for both those using the front-end, or those connecting to the value bets via the API.
- The TV Guide Page: A personal passion project for Joe, this feature helps users find football games broadcasted around the world, perfect for those with an Amazon Fire Stick (wink, wink).
- The Football Map: Inspired by Joe's travels, this tool helps users find football games based on location, making it easier to catch a match while exploring new places.
- Predictions: The first social feature on OddAlerts, where users can make predictions, climb the rankings, and even win prizes.
- AI Press Conference: A fun experiment with AI, allowing users to interact with virtual football managers like Jurgen Klopp, Sir Alex, and more.
- Learn Page: A resource for tutorials and articles to help users get the most out of OddAlerts.
- New Pinnacle Data Source: A industry-leading connection to Pinnacle’s latest odds allowed for new features to be built, including the Pinnacle Dropping Odds Alerts.
- Player Search Tool: Joe set out to create the very best tool that could help those looking to bet on player markets. The player search tool was the result of that research and hard work, and there’s more updates coming to that area in the near future.
- And so much more… For all of the updates that were launched on OddAlerts this year, you can view the updates page or the updates channel on the Discord.
Looking Forward: The Road Ahead
Joe's vision for OddAlerts is clear: to create a seamless experience that brings together all the features into one cohesive platform. The upcoming fixture overhaul is just one step towards this goal, aiming to make it easier for users to access everything from player stats to video highlights without ever leaving the fixture page.
The API and the App
The launch of the football data api marked a significant milestone, offering users more flexibility and the ability to integrate OddAlerts data into their own projects. And with the promise of an app on the horizon, users can look forward to a more personalised and streamlined alert experience, moving away from Telegram and towards a dedicated OddAlerts platform.
A Commitment to Value
Despite the slew of new features and improvements, the price of OddAlerts remains unchanged, underscoring Joe's commitment to providing unmatched value. With a focus on user experience over advertising and affiliate deals, OddAlerts continues to prioritise the needs and interests of its community.
Gratitude and Anticipation
As we wrap up this yearly message, Joe extends his heartfelt thanks to the OddAlerts community for their unwavering support and valuable feedback. With excitement brewing for what's to come, we invite you to stay tuned for a 2023 filled with even more data-driven insights and innovative features that will elevate your football interaction to new heights.
Here's to a fantastic year behind us and an even brighter one ahead. Happy holidays, and may your new year be filled with joy, success, and plenty of football.
